Orca Scan has been named as ‘One to Watch’ in Business Weekly’s ‘Killer 50’ list for 2023.

The Killer 50, in association with The Technology Partnership, is a list of fast-growing, disruptive technology companies in the UK, compiled by industry experts and commentators.

John Doherty, Founder and CEO, explained: “We are delighted to be recognised as ‘One to Watch’ in Business Weekly’s Killer 50. During 2023, the team have continued to work closely with our ever-expanding user base to simplify barcode tracking and help organisations across the globe be more competitive, efficient, safer and secure.

Our user base grew to 320,000 in 2023, including 60% of Fortune 500 companies and 40% of the FTSE 100, and the team have channelled their ability to listen, understand and simplify customer barcode tracking challenges into building a revolutionary solution to simplify the migration of the global retail industry to GS1 Digital Link, the next generation of ‘barcodes’, that will connect trillions of products globally to the internet.”

Business Weekly CEO Tony Quested says: “Orca Scan could hardly be more aptly named. With Orca a killer whale, what better candidate for a spot in The Killer50 than Orca Scan? While the company is currently in the Ones2Watch section of the initiative, followers of Business Weekly will be well aware that we do not tolerate any businesses content to rest on their laurels. Inclusion in the initiative demands a continuous commitment to growth and come the New Year when we update the pantheon, there is every chance that Orca Scan – if it retains its current rate of progress – will make the leap from Ones2Watch to The coveted Killer50. Whichever slot it fills, Orca Scan is most definitely One2Watch.”
